[postgis-devel] PostGIS 2.1.0 beta2 is ready

That's why I compile my own version of GDAL for winodws.

Devrim,
Any chance you can just compile one for PostgreSQL/PostGIS so you don't run
into these dependency issues?
Not sure how it is on linux. On windows I just set my paths during GDAL
compile to prevent it from picking up junk on my system and then compile
GDAL with no additional dependencies. GDAL alone without extra junk already
gives you like 20 formats to work with.

Then I explicitly specify GDAL config in postgis compile and just have the
GDAL library installed in the postgresql bin and be done with it and
postgresql uses that one over any other since its in its bin folder.

I think Bborie does much the same except he probably throws jasper in there
so he can dump out pdfs.

Hope that helps,
Regina

raster2pgsql depends upon GDAL. So, your GDAL has been compiled with mysql
support. Welcome to dependency hell.
