[postgis-devel] PSC Vote: Darafei Praliaskouski committer rights -MOTION PASSED

Fixed the typo.

Why is it always non-native English speakers that find my spelling and grammar mistakes?

What's wrong with all these English as a first language people?

Hi,

It all looks agreeable and followable to me.

I will try to rewrite the system in a way allowed by guidelines :)

There's a typo, "possibel" instead of "possible", in https://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/wiki/DevWikiComitGuidelines.

Motion Passed.

Darafei,

Look thru our committer guidelines

Do you agree to all these terms and feel you can follow them? And will you not try to rewrite the system underneath us without asking?

If all requirements look agreeable to you, Paul will hand you a copy of the keys to the PostGIS vault :)

If anything is unclear or you feel something needs changing, speak now.

Thanks,

Regina

I'd like to propose that we give Darafei Praliaskouski PostGIS committer
rights.
I would like input from others (not just PSC) if they have issue with this
or think it's a good idea.

For those who don't know him, Darafei (aka Komzzpa on IRC) has provided a
number of bug patches and performance improvements

And more pull requests on github that we have committed (often having to
clean up his non-conformist spacing)
https://github.com/postgis/postgis/commit/f40612290d6d471083cfad225d13e663cf <https://github.com/postgis/postgis/commit/f40612290d6d471083cfad225d13e663cf283e6f>

He started contributing with PostGIS 2.4 and his commitment level at PostGIS
2.5 has exponentially increased.

It has gotten to the point where we can't keep up with his constant pull
requests.

https://github.com/postgis/postgis/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3AKomzpa

which are generally good.

I think things will work much more smoothly if we let him manage his work,
without having us to approve all his git pulls.

I have been asked in return to ask him to not rewrite the system underneath
us.

He has assured me also he'll obey any rules we give him and will not use the
example of Paul Ramsey as his model of perfection.

To start off +1 from me.

Thanks,
Regina
