With the tip of svn-2.4 in git:

 commit 642b88404a16cee53b4e7cb03aa151295b4e1654 (HEAD -> svn-2.4,  origin/svn-2.4)

"gmake check" has no issues with the trailing space check, and seems
generally ok.
