I think at the moment we're in a good position to call freeze on 1.3,<BR>
since Regina's finished with function comments, I've managed to close<BR>
all of the outstanding crasher bugs, and Paul has added 8.4 support. So<BR>
pretty please no more changes to 1.3 branches except to resolve crashes.<BR>
<BR>
As I mentioned before, I'm a little nervous about some of the changes I<BR>
had to make on 1.3 branch to solve some of the crashers and so I'd like<BR>
to propose that we push out another RC ASAP for people to test. Sadly we<BR>
still have a Solaris regression, although this is due to the<BR>
introduction of some new tests. Since we don't have the ability to<BR>
resolve this until Mark returns, and it likely exists in 1.3.3, I think<BR>
we just have to push on regardless.<BR>
<BR>
Upon arrival of the new RC, I would like to suggest that we should wait<BR>
for clean regression runs froms the following platforms (barring of<BR>
course the new Solaris regression):<BR>

PostgreSQL 8.1+ - Win32<BR>
PostgreSQL 8.1+ - Solaris<BR>
PostgreSQL 7.3 - Linux<BR>
<BR>
PostgreSQL 8.1+ - GEOS 2.2.3 - Linux<BR>
PostgreSQL 8.1+ - GEOS 3.0.3 - Linux<BR>
PostgreSQL 8.1+ - GEOS 3.1 - Linux<BR>

The plan here is to check Win32/Solaris both pass the new sed tests in<BR>
Makefile.config.in, make sure we haven't broken really old PostgreSQL<BR>
builds, and also make sure that GEOS 2.2, GEOS 3.0 and the very new GEOS<BR>
3.1 with prepared geometry doesn't break either.<BR>
