        I saw that Paul has put a comment in measures.c that C90 doesn't support var-size array. I suspect that is what gave Sami problems when compiling PostGIS with Visual Studio as mentioned here: http://symbiatch.jutut.fi/article/2955<br />

        So, in attached patch, am I doing it the right way?<br />

        If so, should I backport to 1.5 too or only trunk?<br />
