    I just noticed that the function ST_Intersection(raster, geom).val

    always returns me an integer. I couldn't find from the <a

href="http://postgis.refractions.net/documentation/manual-svn/RT_ST_Intersection.html">docs</a>

    whether this is intentional but it seems not very useful since most

    of my rasters contain floats.<br>

    Does anyone know whether this is intentionally?<br>
