On a harder to see side, he's very active on the PostGIS matrix/irc channel and helping out with user questions.
Given all this I think he'd make a great addition to the PostGIS core development team and would allow him to be able to accept user contributions.
I will ask him to read the contributor guidelines again and confirm he agrees with our guidelines <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://postgis.net/development/rfcs/rfc05/">https://postgis.net/development/rfcs/rfc05/</a> if all are in agreement he will be a good addition.
