 Confirmed fixed with the changes from
 [https://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/changeset/8cff748a310253c20b769f13419cb2363e5160f8/git
 8cff748].

 With gcc-12 and without those changes the test still fails on i386.

 Disabling LTO also fixes the issue.
