[postgis] Re: Nearest To Searching

Thanks to Erik and Paul,

I will go and try the qBox method - I can't see any reason it wont work.

The reason I asked about the nearest to in the first place is because
Informix Dynamic Server 9.3 does support it & we were planning to use this
for our spatial stuff.  Apparently, it uses R-Tree indexing.

I would, however, really like NOT to do this as postgres is great for
everything else.

The postgis project does seem to be providing the functionality we need and
I think we can grow with it.
