Spatial Database to support a GIS App (desktop, spatial server middleware 
and map server)

>>    Why did you choose PostGIS?

OpenSource. Implementation of Geometry Types en RDBMS.  cheaper -;)- and 
faster than Oracle Spatial.

>>    What makes you happy about your PostGIS installation?
Easy to use. Razonable performance.

>>    What makes you unhappy about your PostGIS installation?

Not easy to use. For Win2 you must install CygWin before.
Peformance is not as so good as MySQL expatial extension.
