[postgis-users] Failing: psql -d [yourdatabase] -f lwpostgis.sql

I'm installing version 1.1.6 and everything is fine until the step:

psql -d [yourdatabase] -f lwpostgis.sql

It's all erroring out.  Any idea what the problem is or where I go to see what the error is?
