[postgis-users] Advice on writing a User Defined Function

I'm about to start writing a user defined function in C which will
incorporate some functionality in a commercial dll into PostGIS.

I've written simple PostGres user-defined functions before although
usually on Linux.

Does anyone have any pointers on how to start the process and gain
access to the PostGIS datatypes?
