[postgis-users] Open Source .DWG to .SHP converter?

Er, I'm not using any CAD software: I just have a lot
of .DWG files that needs to get converted to postGIS
(or to .SHP files first). Thus, I'm looking for a
converter that can perform batch conversion (something
like shp2pgsql).

Alternatively, is there any open source converter that
can convert .DWG to . DGN?

Or is there some sort of 'plugin' that can enable
ogr2ogr to read .DWG and convert it to postGIS?

And if I have to use CAD viewer, what would you
suggest? Is there any open source CAD viewer or GIS
viewer that can read .DWG files and save them in .SHP
format?

Many thanks,
-Kresh

So be it. If saying "NO" means being alone, then to hell with love, with women, with marriage, with God, religions, bars, nightclubs, computer games, and all the shit life keeps pumping at me. I'll walk alone, but with freedom and a healed pride.
