[postgis-users] Finding the 'last' string in the multilinestring.

G'day all,

I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for here, but I have a number of
stock routes which are calculated as multilinestrings, and to all
intents and purposes is fine... except

I am using mapserver to display them, and I would really like to put
an arrow on the end of the line - ie the last one linestring.

They are all 'sequential', but I don't seem the be able to convert or
merge a multilinestring to a linestring ?

so I thought I could just add another layer with an arrow head on the
last 'segment' of the multilinestring.

But I'm not sure if there is a function to select the 'nth' string in
a multi and add that as another layer

any ideas or help much appreciated.

cheers

Ben
