[postgis-users] PostGIS+FreeBSD 6.0 (AMD64) and Shared object "libpq.so.5" not found

Not sure about BSD, I imagine it is the same, but on Linux you have to
run ldconfig to update the libraries.

Also, there is a way to tell ldconfig where to look, which can vary
from system to system.  look in /etc for ld.so.conf or ld.so.conf.d/
which would be a directory containg files to be parsed.

'man ldconfig' might help you as well, see the files section at the end.

Also, there is an option to get ldconfig to tell you what libraries it
sees and where it looks.  Again, read the man page.
