[postgis-users] Strange behaviour using shapefile to postgis gui inPGAdmin

Sindile,
Seems to work for me.  What OS are you on?  Also do you see an "About"
button on your shp2pgsql-gui.  If do not have an About thenyou are not
running the latest version.

If you see an About what does the revision number say on it? Mine is 5094

Entering database credentials on the gui and clicking test connection
results in an error - Connection failed: FATAL:  password authentication
failed for user "postgres"

The database credentials entered are correct.

Not withstanding this error I am able to import a shapefile into my postgis
database.
