[postgis-users] HINT: No function matches the given name and argument types

hi,
i am using select query which is shown below
SELECT sum(length(the_geom))/1000 AS km_roads FROM routable;
and get error like -
HINT:  No function matches the given name and argument types. You might need
to add explicit type casts.
