[postgis-users] ST_Union Equivalent for Geography Types

Greetings,

Is there a graceful solution for merging geography types a la
ST_Union, without having to recast to geometry for the merger and back
to geography again?  Both ST_Union and ST_Collect seem to recognize
geometry types only.

I would prefer to remain outside of 2D projections since the data set
I'm working with is dominated by longer great-circle boundary edges,
and I'd hate to have to segmentize them all for the sake of retaining
any accuracy.
