[postgis-users] shp2pgsql failing on large shp

Hi all.
I have hit the issue:
http://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/ticket/393
on a large file. I have PostGIS 1.5.1-5 in production on Debian squeeze, so I cannot
upgrade it on that machine. It is unclear to me, after reading the ticket, what is
the best way to solve this.
