What build of FME are you using, on what OS and what error messages?
Versions older than a couple of months were early beta stages of the
PostGIS writer. The recent builds on Linux and Windows have worked
great for me and the performance makes ODBC look like a snail.<br>

I have been using MS access to edit my postgis tables
through the ODBC for postgres.
