<P><FONT SIZE=2>I thought doing a collect(the_geom) on a group of counties would produce a state-wide view of all the counties in one row.  The collect goes through fine, but it turns out to be a not isvalid(the_geom) result set.  The counties are each MULTIPOLYGON's from a shp2pgsql, and their the_geom's are all valid.</FONT></P>
