Hi Christian,<br><br>Thanks for you reply. After looking at your steps, I did a bit research as well. As you said, there is a problem related to the "libreadline.dylib".<br><br>However, in addition to that, I found something else interesting - something actually solves my installation problem without installing Fink, (but the "could not save history 

to file .../.psql_history" error still exists). Just want to share the solutions with everyone in case you are in the same situation: su ranlib /usr/local/pgsql/lib/libpq.a After that, "make" will run just fine!
