Thanks for the reply <span id="_user_gsw@globexplorer.com">Gregory, I do also love the DBVisualiser tool :) But it just did not cross through my mind that it could correctly show the geometric data types of PostGres.<br><br>
I also have found how to use specific database types on Enterprise Architect. After setting the project database to Postgres, what I could only do in the 'code generation' toolbar, I could change my tables 'database' property as well. Then the specific data types are shown, like the geometric ones, on the column editor.

You might try DBVisualizer <<a href="http://www.dbvis.com/">http://www.dbvis.com/</a>> ... attached image shows a table defintion with geometry. Not sure if this is really answering your question though ... I use this tool to draw pretty pictures for engineering and others; most of the actual DDL is plain-ol-fashioned SQL in text files rather than using a GUI.
