Since PostGIS 1.5, there is a implementation shipped with the software.<br><br>Check out PostgreSQL folder under share\contrib\Postgis1.5\ and there might be a folder history-tables, which contains all the scripts needed to track changes in a table.<br>

What I think of is to keep track of the changes made within a table.<br>
For instance: If a row is altered, that row will be copied, so that you have an unaltered original and an altered version.<br>
