    did you already notice the OSGeo Live project? I think they are
    working on something similar (Virtual machines or boot DVDs with
    preinstalled open-source GIS applications). I did not try it yet,
    but perhaps it would be worth a look for you:<br>

                  That sounds really great! I was working in a VM like

                  an Amazon EC2 microinstance (free tier). Now, I think
                  I can try a kind<br>
                  of "VMWare to AMI" process, using your GISVM. Maybe
                  adding PostGIS<br>
                  Raster too.<br>
