You might have a look at QGIS, <a class="ecxmoz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://qgis.org" target="_blank">http://qgis.org</a>. It has a function,
DBManager, where you can write almost any postgis/postgresql
based sql query and optionally present the result set as a new
layer in QGIS.<br>
