<html><head><style type="text/css"><!-- DIV {margin:0px;} --></style></head><body><div style="font-family:times new roman, new york, times, serif;font-size:12pt"><div style="font-family: times new roman,new york,times,serif; font-size: 12pt;">Hello Frank,<br>The example you gave me is just what i had in mind.<br><br>I typed (cut-paste) your example exactly but still got an error.... as follows<br><br>ERROR 1: Translating source or target SRS failed:<br>'+proj=merc<br><br>NOTE: I used a GeoTIFF 3600 x 1800 pixels as the source file, located in the FWTools2.0.6 folder. <br>I also ran the command with the source being a TIFF (not GeoTiff) and also without LZW compression.
