<p class="MsoNormal">The OSGeo board is asking projects to submit their budgets for 2020 [0]. This is the<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">first time PROJ is able to receive funding directly from OSGeo. Since we been able<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">to run without a budget for 30+ years I don’t expect that we need much this year<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">but I would encourage you all to suggest ways we can improve the project by means<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">of OSGeo funding. Initially 2000 USD is allotted all projects but projects are allowed<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">to request more or less than that. I expect that we will fall in the “less” part of that<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">statement. Especially since our main expenses are continuous integration and git-lfs<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">support on GitHub, both of which are planned to be covered directly by OSGeo as
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">they are cross-project costs.<o:p></o:p></p>
