library is basically an unchanged copy of the JHLABS library. I did
not do a detailed comparison.</FONT></DIV>

JABS code in order to look into what it takes to actually make maps on the
computer. I found a lot of errors in the JHLABS code - Jerry said it was a
work-in-progress. Some errors I could fix, many others still need
work. My efforts have tried to identify the good from the
bad.</FONT></DIV>

coordinate<BR>transformations in Java, and came across two libraries that
have<BR>forked off of the JH Labs Java Map Projection Library, this
project<BR>(Proj4J), and what appears to be the spiritual successor (since it
is<BR>linked from JH Labs page [1]) to JH Labs project, JMapProjLib
[2],<BR>maintained by Bernhard Jenny. That project has had more
recent<BR>activity, but it does seem that Proj4J is further advanced.<BR><BR>Any
