[Qgis-community-team] Applying patch

Hello,

I am new to the Open Source GIS community and have run into a problem.
I am trying to apply patch 9142 to my instance of QGIS but cant find how
to do this anywhere.  Is there a place that goes over this procedure or
am I on my own here?
