[Qgis-community-team] Changes in the current manual trunk

Hi community, 

during the hackfest we decided to split the current english QGIS manual in
trunk. This will not change the current tagged 1.0 version which is already
partly translated, but will be used for documentation of version 1.1, ...

The reasons are, that usually people are interested in using or in coding
and compiling QGIS. Therefore it made sense to split the manual with its
already ~270 pages and hopefully make it even more attractive for translators to
either translate the user guide or the coding and compilation guide. 

So at the moment we have: 

1) QGIS User Guide with 167 pages

2) QGIS Coding and Compilation Guide with 124 pages
svn co https://svn.osgeo.org/qgis/docs/trunk/english_us/coding-compilation_guide

For the future we would like to add a third documentation part for GIS
beginners in general. This version is planned to focus on solving general
GIS tasks with QGIS and not on available functionalities as the User Guide does.

Maybe we can provide this for a QGIS Version 2. If there are people interested
to join this effort, we can discuss it here on the list.
