you are right, it was not in 2.0 branch of docs:

http://docs.qgis.org/2.0/pdf/

but it is in testing:

http://docs.qgis.org/testing/pdf/QGIS-testing-QGISTrainingManual-en.pdf

(actually the training manual was not in 2.0, but it is just added to
2.0 because that it the branch that is translated and people wanted to
start translating).

I just fixed the scripts, so there is now also an pdf for 2.0:

http://docs.qgis.org/2.0/pdf/QGIS-2.0-QGISTrainingManual.pdf

(and building for other languages)

Other things to try:
- we have a docker script now which you should be able to run (if you
are able to use Docker):

- I'm porting the Makefile to a Paver file (pavement.py), which actually
already works for the basic building (tested on Debian and Windows), see:
