yes. BUT...

currently the resources in transifex are the 2.0 versions of
documentation (though for the training manual that is almost the same as
2.2).

As soon as the community team lead (Otto) branches 2.2 documentation, we
will 'copy' current translations (.po files in 2.0) to the 2.2 branch,
and push those PLUS the new resources to transifex.

conclusion: yes you can start translating, but there is some chance that
you loos some of it because changes in 2.2 docs
