<p>Hi Meena, <br>
</p>
<p>what you find on github's release page is the list of versions
and source code only. <br>
</p>
<p>So you will find all versions using semantic versionning as
XX.XX.XX version ie 3.36.1 . <br>
</p>
<p>This source code is then compiled for the different platforms and
installer versions. Windows msi, windows osgeo4W, debian packages
for Ubuntu/Debian. Other packages are maintained by the community.
<br>
</p>
<p>On a package version, the last number 3.36.1<b>-2 </b>refers
the package build version. In this case, the package was built
twice for 3.36.1. In a new package, you usually find upgraded
versions of dependencies that are not QGIS core. <br>
</p>
<p>Hope it helps</p>
