[Qgis-developer] Proposal: Auto-aging of bugs

I propose we introduce auto-aging of bugs.

Reason:
The number of old bugs are overwhelming, and many of the old ones are
not valid anymore. A large number of invalid bugs are NOT good for
moreale or for bug fixing process.

Solution:
If a bug makred 'awaiting user input' does not get updated in 30 days,
all people that have contributed to the bug gets a warning email. This
process is repeated two weeks later, but all developers of QGID is
included in thois email. If nothinh happens in one week, the bug gets
closed.

Outcome:
The Trac system will get rid of bugs that the bug reporter is not
interested in verifying or clarifying.

If we don't:
Trac system wii be full of bugs that canät be closed, becasue we canät
verify if the bugs are solved or not.

I belive this can be done technically. The time limits can be discussed.

Not many bugs are marked awating user interaction, but if thsi gets
implemented I propose that we go thorugh old bugs from 0.8.1 and ask if
the same applies top 0.9.1 (crashes etc), and set the bug as 'awaiting
user input'.

Magnus
