[Qgis-developer] Get the local gdal help

Hi all,

in this moment the GdalTools-plugin (written in python)
opens the online GDAL documentation.

I would change it behaviour to open the local gdal doc if
available (people either may not be ever connected or may
not have installed the last gdal version), but I don't know
how to retrieve its local path so as it works in every os.

Do you have any ideas to resolve this problem?
