[Qgis-developer] Google Summer of Code 2009

Are the ideas listed in
http://wiki.qgis.org/qgiswiki/SummerOfCodeIdeas

the only ones for the Google Summer of Code or is it
still time for proposing more? I have an student who probably
will apply. I did not register as a mentor because assumed
that the mentor should be an experienced software developer,
is this a problem for the student to apply?
