Thanks for updating the wiki, I completely forgot after the QGIS 1.6 release.

It should work with this line.  This sets some reasonable values for the fastcgi parameters, and the defaults may not work well for a mapserver process that needs more time to do its thing.

You should check if there are any errors when Apache tries to start that would help figure out why it won't start.  The Apache logs might have something if it's a configuration error: /var/log/apache2/error.log.

A binary problem might show up in /Library/Logs/CrashReporter.

The wiki tried to interpret the URL text in the example as a real link, and you need to make sure to include that trailing '?' that is after the link icon.
