You configured Qt to compile static libraries!?  Your PyQt and QGIS binaries are going to be HUGE.  There are many separate binary components and much of the static Qt libraries will be redunandantly linked in to each one.  Even the Qt plugins will be large.

You should really recompile Qt as OS X frameworks.  If static libraries is the reason you compiled your own Qt from source, then you might as well install the prepackaged Qt binaries from Nokia and save yourself some grief trying to figure out all the changes needed in the QGIS install instructions.
