Dear colleagues,

I'm not able to set up the Python environment for standalone applications correctly, allthough there are several documentations on the internet -> I am using this one http://www.qgis.org/pyqgis-cookbook/intro.html#python-applications<https://mail.fh-kaernten.at/OWA/redir.aspx?C=b37cd8b6f76a410f8070b7012d662950&URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.qgis.org%2fpyqgis-cookbook%2fintro.html%23python-applications>, but I still get the error message

"Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "test.py", line 1, in <module>
    import PyQt4.QtGui
ImportError: No module named PyQt4.QtGui

These steps I have allready done (QGIS (Standalone) Installation Path: "C:\Programme\QGIS")

- PYTHONPATH = C:\Programme\QGIS\apps\Python25
- PATH = C:\Programme\QGIS\bin; C:\Programme\QGIS\apps\qgis\bin;%PATH%

I am slowly but surely getting frustrated, even though I haven't really started... ;-)

I'm glad for every hint!

Stefan

P.S.: By the way, how can I search the archives http://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/qgis-developer/?<https://mail.fh-kaernten.at/OWA/redir.aspx?C=b37cd8b6f76a410f8070b7012d662950&URL=http%3a%2f%2flists.osgeo.org%2fpipermail%2fqgis-developer%2f%3f>
