You don't need a virtual machine. PostGIS 2.0 and 1.5 can cohexist in the
same database cluster. I do have pg14, pg15 and pg20 databases on my 
PostgreSQL 8.4 install. There's nothing special to do, install all versions
and only load each of the versions .sql file into each of the target
databases.
