Hi Paolo,

I have a QGIS master here from the beginning of february, and that is 
working fine with GRASS point layers. Both imported by shapes or newly 
created point layers.
Did you try it also with an older version? The plugin just opens a layer 
via the dataproviders...

You are referring to saving the attribute table to a spreadsheet file 
isn't it? Without an x and y column, you cannot save it to a shapefile.
