Hi

Well, we still have the version number .. and that is still THE
number for me anyway (and should always stay like that).
But the Codename was always a nice thing to have and to my experience
people tend to give a lot of things names (like naming their car), so
why not give a name to a new release.

It also brings the benefit of showing respect for the HF host (or a
cartographer) and although you cannot order the releases by their
names you can always by their version numbers. We are not going to
skip one in favor of the other.

And when I look at the wikipedia page [0] I see the Version number is
still listed before the "Codename".

Maybe I am blind but I don't see a real problem with that. And people
out there have the choice how they want to call it (as long as they
are using it)
