[Qgis-developer] Getting access to atlas record

Hi,

With the atlas printing I can get access to the atlas feature id and
atlas feature geometry. This is already very powerful.

Question: is it already possible to get access to any attribute in the
current atlas feature record?

My use case would be the one of linked table. Given the atlas coverage
table has certain names or identifiers and a linked table has the same
identifiers. This way I could have simple relations in print composer.
The table could be filtered by common keys with the atlas coverage table.

Is this already possible in 2.4 and if yes how?

If it is not possible I'd like to propose this feature for the next
version. Would be really cool to have.
