That was not a recommendation for a user, but for a bug hunter :)

I'd consider it a bad bug if that's something that happens with any
pre-existing project, one that should be fixed by 2.8.1.
Can you reproduce ?
If so, could you please file a ticket, tagged with "rotation" ?
