[Qgis-developer] Embedded layers

Hi all,
AFAIK, embedding layers and groups in a project should provide a live
link to original project, so if styling of a layer changes in the
source, changes should be reflected in the project that embeds them.
I just checked, and this does not seem to happen on QGIS 2.8.2: am I
missing something, or this is a bug?
