I guess you're aware of the choices in Settings->Options->CRS for
handling layers with unknown CRS, and these don't fully cover the issue?<br>
I'd like to expand the question further and suggest that there should
be a way to set the default CRS for *projects* and not just layers. I
always missed an options, in the same CRS window, to either<br>
1) always ask which CRS for new projects, or<br>
2) always use the global default for new projects.<br>
