<div dir="ltr"><div>Hi All (and especially translators),</div><div><br></div><div>As of today (2. July 2013) please note that we are entering string freeze for the run up to the next release. If you are committing bug fixes please avoid changing any strings unless it is absolutely necessary. Translation .ts files have been updated in git so please update your local git checkouts or download the updated .ts file from [0].</div>
<div><br></div><div>Due to the fact that this (2.0) Release of QGIS is a Major upgrade with lots of new features there is no closing date for submitting your work this time. A lot of issues still have to be fixed. But this is the chance for you as a translator to have a little longer time to complete the translation.</div>
<div><br></div><div>We do not expect any string changes during this period so translators should be able to continue work without problems. Be aware that the transifex [1] system is still NOT included in managing the translations for QGIS. As soon as we have a running workflow (hopefully for 2.1) it will be announced seperately.</div>
<div><br></div><div>If you have any questions about the translation process, please see the following page which includes instructions on how to generate a .ts file for a new locale.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://hub.qgis.org/wiki/quantum-gis/GUI_Translation">http://hub.qgis.org/wiki/quantum-gis/GUI_Translation</a><br>

</div><div>Many thanks to all the translators out there for the great work you do!</div><div>Regards,</div><div><br></div><div>Werner Macho</div><div><br></div><div>P.S.: The Translation Progress can be seen in the nightly versions of QGIS Menu: Help -> About-> Translators</div>
