Sirs:

The /initrd.img probably should be specifically excluded from any
scan list. It is a "ln -s" link to the real file on my Ubuntu
system "/boot/initrd.img-4.2.0-30-generic" which as I recall, is the
temporary file system that is loaded when the kernel first boots.
Parts of the file are released (freed) when they are no longer
needed.

If you copy this file "initrd.img-4.2.0-30-generic" to a temp
location and add the .gz suffix, it can be gunzip into the
equivalent of an .iso. Use a file manager to temporarily mount it.
The iso contents look like a Linux file system.

Hi,
i'm learning to compile QGIS in Ubuntu 14.04,
managed to compile QGIS 2.14 and installed
in a custom dir with make install,
with:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
QGIS starts (by the way the 2.14 splash screen image is HUGE :))
with some warnings and one error:
ERROR 4: `/initrd.img' not recognised as a supported file format.
but it seems to work, anyway i cannot find the GRASS Plugin, is there
some other variable to set so that QGIS can see it ?
libgrass*7.so are present in the lib/qgis/plugins/ directory so i do not
think there is a compile issue (?)
thanks ! Roy.
