<p>Hi,</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>A short update on porting plugins, python 3 and qt5. Today I had
success with running the processing tests on a py3/qt5 build. For
the qgis algorithms for which tests exist, there was just one
single small difference, where the py3/qt5 version offered an
increased precision in some statistics. Apart from this,
everything (what is tested) works fine.</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>This is very good news. The py3/qt5 version of the plugin is
produced by the 2to3 update script and the update script therefore
is doing a quite good job already if it's able to migrate a
complex plugin like processing.</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>Apart from this, it is yet another set of tests that prevents us
from introducing regressions while working on and updating the
(python) API in the migration process.</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>I'm looking forward to seeing more processing tests being
introduced to guarantee for a smooth transition.<br>
</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>All the best<br>
</p>
